• ● A tri-clamp ferrule is a short piece of modified sanitary tubing with a tri-clamp flanged end on one side and a weld end on the other.
• Used to:
• ● Designed to be welded onto vessels or onto sanitary tubing making them compatable to connect with other tri-clamp fittings.
• ● Used to install a tri-clamp flange end onto sanitary fittings and components.
• Connects to:
• ● The weld end will butt weld flush onto tubing of the same size.
• ● The flanged end will connect with other tri-clover fittings of the same size.
• Installation:
• ● Ensure the diameters of the ferrule weld end and the tube (or fitting) ends match before welding flush to one another.
• ● Advantages:
• ● Provides a way to permanently convert a tube end to a tri-clamp flange end.
• ● Provides a way to permanently install a tri-clover flange end onto a sanitary weld fitting or component.
• ● Once installed provides a leak proof and secure connection with other tri-clover flanged ends.
• Sizing:
• ● Measure the Outer Diameter (OD) of the Tube.
• ● If you measure the tri-clover flange end check the chart below.
• ● The 1/2" & 3/4" tri-clover ferrules are the same size and so are the 1" and 1.5". (It is only the Internal Diameter, the ID, that differs.)

What is a Sanitary Ferrule?:

A tri-clamp ferrule is a sanitary fitting used to weld a tri-camp flange end on to a vessel or sanitary tube, essentially it providing a flanged end to connect with other tri-clamp fittings. On one end it features a circular flange that allows it to connect to other tri-clover components by means of a clamp and gasket. On the other side is a weld end designed to be butt welded on to tube. It is used in hygienic processing industries such as food and beverage, dairy, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology to create a sturdy, leak-proof connection between tubes and other sanitary components.
