High Pressure Ball Valves

High Pressure Ball Valves

High pressure ball valves are specialized shut off valves designed to regulate the flow of fluids and gases under high pressure. They feature a spherical ball with a hole through the center that is used as a closing mechanism. When the valve is open the hole aligns with the flow and the handle is parallel to the pipe. When the valve is closed the hole is not aligned with the flow and the handle is perpendicular to the pipe. These high pressure valves are designed to withstand extremely high pressures while maintaining a reliable shut-off with a tight seal. High pressure shut off valves are typically used in industrial applications like oil and gas, chemical processing and hydraulic systems wherever fluids need to be controlled at elevated pressures without any leaking. These 2000 & 3000 PSI Industrial Ball valves are specially designed for robust environments. Manufactured from high Grade Stainless Steel 316, with threaded female NPT end connections and a working pressure rated at 2000 PSI and 3000 PSI. These Full Port Valves are suitable for Water/Oil/Gas (WOG). Their ability to provide a quick shut off along with their low torque requirement for operation make them suitable for high performance applications.

  • Threaded Connection: Female x Female Threads (FNPT x FNPT) for Standard Pipe Connection
  • Port: Full Bore Valve (Full Port)
  • Pressure: up to 2000 PSI & 3000 PSI for high pressure applications
  • Seals: PTFE (Teflon) Seals and Seats
  • Handle: Stem is Blow Out Proof with Locking handle mechanism
  • Sizes:  1/4" up to 2"

What is a High Pressure Ball Valve?

A high pressure ball valve is a type of valve designed to control the flow of fluids under extremely high pressure conditions. It operates by rotating a ball with a bore through its center, within the valve body, to regulate flow. It has a tight seal to handle high pressure situations. Widely used in chemical processing plants, oil and gas pipelines, and hydraulic systems where a reliable flow shut-off is crucial.

High Pressure or Low Pressure Ball Valve?

A high pressure valve is designed to withstand a significantly higher fluid presser compared to a low pressure valve. This means one should choose a high pressure valve whenever dealing with a system that operates at elevated pressure levels. High pressure valves have a more robust body construction with thicker walls and a heavier weight as compared to standard valves.
