• Description:
• ● A Stainless Steel Sanitary Clamp with a two hinge pins in the center and an wing nut on one side to hand tighten the clamp.
• Used to:
• ● The double pin clamp is also called a double hinge clamp and is often used in sanitary applications where access is tight.
• ● Used to create a secure, hygienic connection between sanitary tri-clover fittings. 
• ● Its two hinge pin design allows for a wider opening of the clamp which makes for easier installation particulary where space is limited.
• ● Used in indusrtial applications like food and beverage processing, brewing, chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Connects to:
• ● Will fit over and connect two tri-clover flange ends or ferrules of the same size.
• Installation:
• ● Place the double hinge clamp over two tri-clover flanged ends (ferrules) and insert a gasket in between to seal the connection.
• ● Then tighten the wing nut by hand until a connection is secure.
• ● To disconnect unscrew the wing nut and open the clamp.
• Advantages:
• ● Ability to fit into tight spaces.
• ● Easier installation since the clamp can open wider it can fit easier around the ferrules.
• ● Provides a more secure hold compared to single pin clamps since it distributed pressure evenly.

What is a Double Hinge Clamp?:

A Double Hinge Clamp, also called a Double Pin Clamp, is a type of sanitary clamp that features two hinge pins which allow it to open wider which makes it easier to install particularly in tight spaces. The two hinges provide for more flexibility and they also allow pressure to be distributed more evenly which results in an even clamping force and more secure connection. Widely used in sanitary processing industries including food and beverage, brewing, chemical and pharmaceutical processing.
