- Description:
- ● A High Pressure Sanitary Clamp featuring two separate bolts that tighten around the tri-clamp fittings being connected.
- ● It consists of two semi-circle halves that are bolted together to from a circular clamp with no hinge pins or wing nut.
- ● Bolted double-pin Design.
- Used to:
- ● High pressure tri clamps are used to connect fluid lines and equipment where pressure is extremely high.
- ● Suitable for applications with fluctuating temperatures.
- ● Its robust construction and double bolt design makes it capable of withstanding extremely high pressure, significantly more than the standard single pin clamps.
- ● Used in industrial applications like food and beverage production, pharmaceutical manufacturing and chemical processing.
- Connects to:
- ● Will fit over and connect two tri-clover flange ends of the same size.
- Installation:
- ● Place each half of the double bolt clamp over two tri-clover ferrules ends and insert a gasket in between to seal the connection.
- ● Then tighten the two bolts first by hand and then with a wrench until a connection is secure.
- ● Be careful to tighten both bolts equally.
- ● To disconnect unscrew the bolts and open the high pressure clamp.
- Advantages:
- ● Ability to withstand significantly higher pressures and temperature fluctuations when compared to standard single pin tri-clamps.
- ● Double-bolted design provides greater clamping force and therefore better pressure resistance compared to standard saniatry clamps.
- ● More robust construction provides added security and better resistance to leaks.
- Sizing:
- ● 1" up to 4".
- ● To measure the Tri-Clamp size, see the chart below.
- Also called:
- ● High Pressure TC Clamps.
- ● High Pressure Sanitary Clamps.
- Material:
- ● Stainless Steel 304.
What is a High Pressure Tri-Clamp?:
A High Pressure Tri-Clamp is a type of sanitary clamp with a robust and reinforced design that features two bolts which enable it to withstand higher pressures and fluctuating temperatures. The thicker construction of the clamp as well as the double bolted design instead of a wingnut that is used on the standard hinged clamps, ensures a stronger connection and a more secure seal. These high-pressure clamps are suitable to work with standard Tri-Clamp ferrules and gaskets, allowing for integration into existing sanitary tri-clover systems. They are designed to withstand pressurized systems such as high pressure fluid transfer, steam transfer and carbonated beverage production.
