Buna-N Camlock Gaskets are installed into Type B, Type C, and Type D couplers as well as in Dust Caps.

What is a Buna-N Gasket:

Buna-N Camlock Gaskets are gaskets designed to be used in camlock couplings to ensure a leak-proof seal when a pair of  camlocks are connected together. These gaskets are made from Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) which is a synthetic rubber and are installed as a standard gasket into all metal female camlocks. Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) is a copolymer of acrylonitrile (ACN) and butadiene (BD) also referred to a acrylonitrile butadiene rubber. NBR gaskets have an excellent resistance to  oils, fuels, greases, and many hydrocarbons, which makes them ideal for industries dealing with petroleum-based products including fuel and oil, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals . Buna Gaskets provide a good resistance to abrasion and have a temperature range from approximately -22°F to 212°F (-30°C to 100°C). They are well suited to fuel and oil exposure , as well as to chemicals. They have limited resistance to strong acids, ozone and weathering which makes them less suitable for strong chemical environments and outdoor exposure if coupling is left unconnected to its mating pair. Available in various sizes from 1/2” up to 8” to fit standard cam and groove couplings.
