Silicone Camlock Gaskets are installed into Type B, Type C, and Type D couplers as well as into Dust Caps.

• ● A circular shaped rubber ring with a flat cross section.
• ● Essentially the shape of a flat O-Ring.
• Function:
• ● They are installed into female cam lock couplings.
• ● They form a tight seal when coupled with the corresponding male adapter.
  
• Installing/Replacement:
• ● Can be replace by hand, simply remove the old gasket and insert a new one in the groove inside the female coupler.

What is a Silicone Gasket?

Silicon Camlock Gaskets are gaskets designed to be used in cam and groove couplings to create a tight seal when a pair of cam and groove fittings are connected together. These gaskets are made from Silicone which is a synthetic rubber like polymer made out of silicon, carbon, oxygen and hydrogen.  They  are installed into female couplers after purchase to make them suitable for food and beverage applications. The advantages of silicone gaskets are that they offer an excellent resistance to extreme temperatures, high chemical resistance, flexibility, durability, and a resistance to UV and ozone. They have a high temperature tolerance ranging from approximately -13°F to 428°F (-25°C to 220°C), and silicone cam and groove gaskets can maintain a tight seal across a wide temperature range. Silicone is widely used for food and beverage production because they are non reactive, odorless and tasteless, water repellant, durable, fungus resistant, have a smooth surface and can withstand high temperatures. Available in various sizes from 1/2” up to ” to fit standard female cam lock couplings.
