2 Piece Full Port Ball Valves

The 2 piece stainless steel ball valve is probably the most widely used ball valve. The 2 piece ball valve will open or shut off flow on most liquids and gases quickly and easily and is suitable for just about any application where a simple on/off action is needed. Flow rate can also be controlled by partially opening or closing the valve to various degrees. Also referred to as a two-way ball valve, since it allows flow in any direction straight through from inlet to outlet. Being threaded ball valves they are quick to install and easy to use, requiring no tooling for installation. The two piece ball valve is the best priced full port ball valve (full bore), allowing the inside diameter of the pipe to remain constant and unrestricted. This means that a 2 piece SS ball valve has no pressure drop and keeps the flow rate high.

Full Port Valve (Full Bore)
A full port ball valve, also called a full bore ball valve, has a ball opening (or bore) that matches the internal diameter of the pipe or the valve’s inlet and outlet connections, Since the internal diameter (ID) of the valve remains the same as the internal diameter of the pipe this allows for unrestricted flow through the body of the full bore valve. This unrestricted flow through the valve results in a smooth flow path which minimizes pressure drop and allows for a maximum flow rate. They are typically used in applications that require a minimum pressure loss where a full and optimal flow rate is essential. They are commonly used in oil and gas, chemical processing, and other high-flow systems applications where maximum flow efficiency is essential and where pressure drops are not acceptable. This design which allows for unrestricted flow helps prevent turbulence and therefore reduces wear, making it particularly useful in applications where viscous fluids or fluids with particulates are involved.
Threaded Ball Valve (Screw)
A threaded ball valve is a a type of valve with threaded end connections designed to screw onto threaded pipes and components. They are easy to install and offer an easy and reliable way to control flow in industrial and plumbing applications. The most common thread type used in the U.S.A are NPT Threads (National Pipe Thread), which are a tapered thread that forms a secure water tight connection when properly installed. They are also available in BSP Thread (British Standard Pipe), which is most often a parallel thread used in the rest of the world. Threaded NPT ball valves are well known for their quick installation and quick removal to be serviced or to replaced.
Quarter Turn Valve
A quarter turn ball valve is a type of valve that got its name from the way it operates with a simple 90-degree or quarter-turn of the handle, which opens or closes the valve. It is called a quarter turn since 90 degrees is a quarter rotation of a possible 360 degrees. Like all ball valves it uses a rotating ball with a hollow bore running through it to control the flow. When the valve handle is parallel to the pipe, then the hole in the ball aligns with the flow and the valve is open allowing for a full flow. When the handle is at 90 degrees or perpendicular to the pipe, then the hole is not aligned to the flow path and the quarter turn shut off valve is closed stopping all flow. This quarter turn operation provides quick and easy operation with a reliable shut off and opening mechanism. It is less prone to wear and tear when compared to multi-turn valves and can open and close even after long periods of not being used, allowing them to have a long service life.
2 way Valve
A 2-way ball valve is a type of valve with only two ports, an inlet and an outlet, that is used for a simple on/off flow control, by turning the handle 90 degrees to open or close the flow. A two way valve is the most commonly used and also the most simple valve design consisting of two ports in a straight through design, which allows fluid to flow in a straight-line path. It is bidirectional shut-off valve used to stop or allow the flow of liquids or gasses in a single pathway or pipeline..
